Your route notes instruct that at 6.0km (Hyde Rock area), one must turn left to cross the fenceline and then at 6.3km, cross the fenceline again and bear left to follow it once more. However, a new fenceline has apparently been constructed up there which means that no longer do you cross the fenceline at all. Instead, you just follow straight along with the fenceline on your left the whole time until you bear to the right at 11.7km.

Access to this track, most of which is a private farm road, is under stress because of the actions of a few who go off-track and make a mess, and also those who leave gates open. As a result, landowner John Deans has closed the track from Jan 30 to April 30. At other times, ring him on 03 446 6882 to seek access permission.

This road has now been designated as a Walking Track only. Signposted at main Road end as "Bullock Track" There is a signpost at the intersection with Coal Creek Road & Southern Old Man Range just indicating "Bullock Track"

No longer need to contact land owners, we did and told there is know is now public access marked with post into the doc land. Please stick to the marked formed track as still private land. Will find out next month if tracks access tracks are still the same as in book
